Mike Auldridge was a founding member of Washington D.C.'s legendary bluegrass band, "The Seldom Scene." Before, during and since his work with the "Scene", Mike has been involved in several hundred recording projects in a variety of musical styles including bluegrass, pop, country and swing music. Mike has recorded with such artists as Linda Ronstadt, Emmy Lou Harris, Dolly Parton, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Hank Williams, Jr., Suzy Boggus, Merle Travis, Doc Watson, the Country Gentlement, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, to name but a few. |

Scott has been performing in bands and theater with local and national acts for over 30 years. He has performed with such notables as The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Modernaires, Charlie Byrd, Susannah McCorkle, Keely Smith, John Colianni, The Ink spots and The Peter Duchin Orchestra. Scott is nearly always thought of as a great bass fiddle player. However, as you hear on this CD, he plays guitar with no less expertise and a with a fluid style that compliments Mary Ann's voice charmingly. |

| David has been a professional drummer since the early 1970's. He has performed with Chuck Berry, The Bob Hope Show, Seattle Opera, Charlie Byrd, Dakota Staton and La India, to name a few. David is also an accomplished composer and recording artist. He graduated with a B.A. in Music from Western Washington University and moved east to play in the New York /City music scene for about fifteen years. He feels this experience with top New York players has given him the understanding and insight into what is needed to truly succeed as a professional artist. |

Gantt Kushner has been playing with tape recorders since he was a kid. His two childhood obsessions, playing guitar and playing with his recorders, have continued into adulthood. He began playing music professionally in 1970 and continues to do so, with such notable artists as The Dixie Power Trio, The Tony Denikos Band, Mary Ann Redmond, Junior Cline and the Recliners, Mike Cotter, The Gene Donati Orchestra, and many others. He founded Gizmo Recording Company in 1987 with the primary purpose of recording his own music, but he has been in such demand recording the music of others that the Gantt Kushner Project has been on indefinite hold for many years! |

| Carmelo Pino has a doctorate of musical arts degree in composition [DMA ] from Catholic University. Two of his compositions have won prizes: Concertino for Accordion and Strings was given 1st prize in 1964 from the American Accordion Association in and Trio for Violin, Cello and Piano won the David Lloyd Kreeger Creativity Composition Prize in 1971. Over the years he has performed often with the National Symphony-first with Antal Dorati as conductor [with whom he also recorded] and most recently with Leonard Slatkin as conductor. Mr. Pino has also performed with the Three Tenors with James Levine conducting and in solo concerts with Luciano Pavarotti, and has made four White House appearances. |

Ms. Shanta was raised and educated in England, Germany and France. She began playing piano at the age of four and later studied organ while attending the University of Aix-en-Provence in southern France. Gail began studying the harp while working on a doctorate at the University of Colorado. Ms. Shanta has performed with the Mount Vernon Orchestra and the Fairfax City Band and plays in approximately 200 events each year including wedding ceremonies and receptions, embassy receptions, Capitol Hill congressional events, and fund-raising and charitable events. |

Chris Ullman is a four-time national and international whistling champion (1994, 1996, 1999 and 2000). His somewhat unique whistling performances have taken him from the steps of the U.S. Capitol, where he performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, to "center court" where he whistled the National Anthem at several NBA games and even to the oval office where he serenaded President George W. Bush. |
